The PHFI Institute of Public Health Sciences (Deemed to be University) marks a new milestone in India’s public health education landscape. Building upon the strong legacy of the Indian Institutes of Public Health (Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar and Bengaluru), the University continues the mission of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) - to strengthen public health capacity, research, and leadership across the country.
The Master of Public Health (MPH) is the flagship program of the PHFI Institute of Public Health Sciences, designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to address pressing public health challenges.

Applicants seeking admission to the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at the PHFI Institute of Public Health Sciences (Deemed to be University) must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university or institution. Eligible disciplines include Medicine, AYUSH, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Veterinary Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Agriculture, Physiotherapy, Science, Life Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Nutrition, Demography, Technology, Public Health, Business Administration, and Law. All qualifications must be from universities or institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or the Government of India.
Candidates with prior experience in public health will be given preference in case of a tie during the selection process. Final selection will be based on the candidate’s academic performance, entrance examination, and overall merit.
